Interview with Giorgos Giorgakis

We regularly open our doors to introduce you to one of the people leading the work of our partner organizations. Today we head to Cyprus to talk to Giorgos Giorgakis, Managing Director of Eurosuccess Consulting
Giorgos Giorgakis is Managing Director of Eurosuccess Consulting (EUROSC) in Cyprus. For more than 20 years, he has been involved in the design and management of European and national projects focusing on education, skills development, social innovation, entrepreneurship and regional development. He is passionate about building partnerships that create practical and lasting impact for communities and organisations across Europe.
DAA : Let’s talk about your Organisation. How would you describe Eurosuccess? What are your key objectives?
GG: I would describe Eurosuccess Consulting as a people-centred organisation that helps individuals, businesses and communities grow through innovation, lifelong learning and European cooperation. We combine strategic thinking with practical implementation to turn ideas into real opportunities.
Our key objective is to empower people and organisations by developing innovative solutions that strengthen skills, promote inclusion and contribute to sustainable economic and social development.
DAA: What can you tell us about DigAccessAgrotourism project? How would you describe it to a stranger as
GG: DigAccessAgrotourism is about making agrotourism more accessible and more digital. It helps rural tourism organisations understand how digital tools and accessible services can improve the experience of all visitors, including people with disabilities, while also making businesses more competitive and sustainable.
DAA: What is this project for your organization? What is your role in this action?
GG: For EUROSC, DigAccessAgrotourism is an opportunity to combine our experience in digital innovation, accessibility and capacity building to support the agrotourism sector. We lead the needs analysis and mapping activities (WP2), ensuring that the project's future actions are based on the real needs of stakeholders. As Managing Director, I oversee our overall participation, coordinate our team and contribute to the strategic direction and quality of the project.
DAA: What About Cyprus, how is Agroutourism considered? Is it accessible?
GG: Agrotourism is becoming an increasingly important pillar of Cyprus' tourism sector, offering visitors authentic experiences rooted in local culture, traditions and rural life. It plays a valuable role in supporting local communities, preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable regional development.
The main challenges for the sector include improving digital accessibility, increasing digital skills among rural tourism providers, ensuring that services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and helping small businesses embrace innovation while maintaining their authentic character.
DAA: How can DigAccess improve rural tourism in Cyprus?
GG: DigAccessAgrotourism can act as a catalyst for change by equipping agrotourism businesses with the knowledge, tools and confidence to embrace digital accessibility. Beyond improving their online presence and services, the project will help create more inclusive visitor experiences, strengthen the competitiveness of rural businesses and make Cyprus' agrotourism sector more resilient and attractive for both local and international visitors.
DAA: Now, tell us a bit more about you, what are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?
GG: I enjoy running, travelling and spending quality time with my family. I also like meeting new people and learning from different cultures through my work and international collaborations.
In my free time I like reading books on political history and current affairs as well as crime novels, but also watching good crime or thriller series, going for a run or to the gym, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
